Kodak Receives Distinguished Honoree Award for “Support Department of the Year” at 2011 STEVIE International Business Awards

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 11, 2012—Kodak’s Service and Support Group, a 2011 STEVIE Distinguished Honoree, was presented with a medal at the 2011 8th Annual International Business Awards in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Kodak, which ranked among top companies in the “Support Department of the Year” category, received high scores during two months of preliminary judging and two weeks of final judging.

Kodak Launches Document Cloud Printing App for ANDROID OS Devices

Rochester, N.Y. -- Continuing to make printing from smartphones and tablets easy and accessible, Kodak recently launched its free KODAK Document Print App for Android OS Devices. Consumers can now send documents from their Android OS device directly to their KODAK All-in-One Printer using Google Cloud PrintTM.

Supported files include web pages, Microsoft Office documents including Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel, PDF and text files, as well as image files. In addition to printing files that are located locally on an Android OS device, files can be accessed on Google Docs, Dropbox and Evernote Sites. Gold Award: KODAK NEXPRESS SX Digital Production Color Platform Named ‘Most Innovative Technology’ in the Printing Industry

Nov 17, 2011 Rochester, NY, The KODAK NEXPRESS SX Digital Production Color Platform with the long-sheet option has been honored with the German printing industry's prestigious Innovation Award 2011. The digital press scooped the coveted ‘Most Innovative Technology’ (Gold Award) in the Printing category. The awards are organized by the Deutscher Drucker Verlagsgesellschaft publishing house. The winners were chosen in an internet poll by readers of Deutscher Drucker and Grafische Palette, two leading German trade journals, and print.de, froma total of 30 technologies nominated by the publications’ editors.

This latest award marks a hat trick of honors for Kodak. In 2009, the company won an Innovation Award for its unique KODAK NEXPRESS Dimensional Printing System, while last year Kodak walked away with two Innovation Awards—the first for its KODAK TRILLIAN SP Thermal Plate in the Prepress category and the second for its KODAK PROSPER 5000XL Press in the Printing category. continue reading...

China’s Largest Publishing House, Phoenix Publishing and Media, Selects the KODAK PROSPER 1000 Press for Short-Run Book Publishing

Oct 25, 2011 ROCHESTER, N.Y.— Phoenix Publishing and Media Group (PPMG) has selected a KODAK PROSPER 1000 Press to help grow its short-run book printing operations. The PROSPER 1000 Press enables the company to better manage its book inventory and provide book titles as needed in a much more efficient operation.

The China Daheng (Group) Co. Ltd., a long-time distributor of KODAK Products in China, consulted with PPMG and recommended the PROSPER 1000 Press for its quality, productivity, and low cost of ownership. Competitive solutions were considered, but the strength of Kodak’s technology and extensive product portfolio led PPMG to invest in the PROSPER 1000 Press.
